Researching a natural non-toxic approach to longevity and cancer prevention for dogs and cats.
Too good to be true?
In 1999 I started a small study into raw feeding. I had for years studied and become convinced that the so-called ‘dog food’ that most pets are fed today is wrong.
Therefore in 1999 I started my Great Dane Camelot on a raw food diet. He immediately took to it like he never had anything else. Over the next 15 years, I added 80 other raw fed dogs to a small observational study to document the results. I wanted to see if they would live longer that the current statistics for different breeds indicate.
We got it all wrong!
From my studies of the digestive system of dogs and cats, they are identical to the digestive system of carnivores. What do carnivores eat? Raw meat and bones. This is a scientific fact. The definition of a carnivore is ‘An animal that feeds on flesh’
The results from this small observational study produced data that was too good to be true for most. An extension of life span from 30-100%! Some dogs, giant breeds, doubled their lifespan on this diet. Was this all a fluke? I admit this is a small study so it could well be. After going public with it in 2015 and being attacked from all directions attempting to discredit everything about this study I decided to keep quiet.
Ramping it up
I could not forget the results, I know I’m on to something very big. Since no scientific long-term study into feeding a diet dogs and cats is designed for I decided to increase the number of participants to 10,000 dogs and 5.000 dogs by 2018. I will follow these animals to the end of their life. There is no way the data from this study can be ignored.
I need your support
I have established Long Living Pets Research Foundation, Inc a 501c3 corporation to help fund this study.
This graph show in green the expected lifespan for the different breed that took part in this study. The blue lines are the actual lifespan of these dogs. As you can see there is a significant difference in favor of these raw fed dogs.
